Step By Step - Make Solar Panel At Home

We are slaves to our energy needs. We need energy to make breakfast, to take a shower, to drive to work and most of the time, to do our work. These days people have no idea how to survive without energy. Of course, their lives were much simpler in many ways. Back then, it hardly cost anything to live. The cost of electricity has steadily risen over time, and can be very expensive these days. Before you spend a ton of money one electricity, know that you have options. You can join with many others as they seek to spend less money monthly on bills. You too can build your own solar panels.

You can spend very little money for your solar panel components. When you get your solar panels setup in your home, you could possibly generate more electricity then you can use, creating an excess. This excess can be paid for by the energy company. This is great news when you look at how high power bills are getting. To build your own solar panel, you need a few easily obtainable items.

The first item you need to get is a 12-16 volt solar panel. Then you need a small, rechargeable battery and a batter box. After these essential items, you need a DC meter that has the same voltage as the battery and you also need a DC input. These items will take energy stored in the solar panel and convert it to a form of power usable in your home. Grab an inverter if you plan to power AC appliances.

Completing your home made solar panel project will require that you have these parts. When you finish getting these parts you can begin your solar panel project. Another tool you will need is a small drill to attach the DC meter and the DC input on the battery box top. Use insulated wire to connect the meter to the battery itself. Only connect one wire at a time, or you may have issues. Then you also need to connect the DC inlet and the solar panel to the battery itself.

Wait for a sunny day to test out your project. Give it about 8 hours to suck up some sun and then try it out.
